Drop Beast Guide: Warming Wallets

January 14th, 2024

This next phase in the journey is about creating some random on chain activity to make it seem like each wallet is owned by a different person experimenting and exploring the zkSync ecosystem and being active prior to the farming.

After a few days/week or “warming up” your wallets they should be good to go to start farming, however I suggest staggering which wallets you warm up over a few different days, as there is no need to rush and have all 10 wallets farming straight away. You can warm up say 5 wallets this week and then start farming with 2 of those wallets whilst starting to warm up the other 5 wallets and so on. I’m sure your picking up what im putting down here.

Note: Feel free to head to the Layer3 platform, click on the zkSync category and start going through the various tasks/quests which not only helps to warm up wallets but also gets you familiar with different protocols and platforms in the zk ecosystem.

I’m not so much going to give you a step by step guide here but instead give you a list of different dapps to try out at random intervals to get some transactions happening. You can do small 5-10 dollar transactions if you want, there is no need to do huge swaps.

I will update this list over the next few days

Swap Platforms

Complete some basic swaps, swap some eth to usdc, some usdc to usdt and back to eth etc.

Odos

Woofi

Layer 3

Mav

Liquidity Provision

Purchase some USDC and USDT from the swap platforms and provide liquidity to some USDC/USDT pools for a few days.

iZumi

Mavrick

Borrowing & Lending

Purchase some USDC or USDT on the swap platforms and lend it out for small APR.

Zerolend

NFT Marketplace

Go explore the marketplace and purchase some cheap 50 cent NFTs to hold in your wallet, we are all community members now.

Element

Perp Trading

Fund your trading account, open and close a few trades and then withdraw your funds back to your wallet.

zKex

Bridges

Bridge back and forward between various other Layer 2 networks, keep in mind bridging costs more than basic swaps and transactions.

Layer 3

Jumper

After a few days of doing some random activity you can essentially swap all those funds back to ETH on zkSync and start farming on Drop Beast although it doesn’t hurt to keep a small amount of funds in a USDC/USDT LP or lending some USDC for the sake of avoiding sybil detection.

The more manual farming you do the better as some of these other protocols may also do an airdrop to active participants so it doesn’t hurt to spread your activity out and hope for the best.
