About Trippin Ape Tribe
Trippin Ape Tribe is one of the first Solana projects to be heavily art based with a creative lore to enhance the community engagement.
The lore is as you have probably guessed is themed around drugs and each step of the “Journey to Ascension” is cleverly thought out and reflects the overall project theme.
Follow along with Chorles’s journal and take your Trippin Ape on the “Journey to Ascension”, along the way your apes art will reflect how far along the journey you are to show off to the tribe.

Community engagement is a big part of being in the tribe. As they say they are not a cult they are a tribe.
The lore of Trippin Ape Tribe has your ape going out on quests on the ultimate “Journey to Ascension”
This journey begins with a simple task in the Meditation Temple.
Meditation Temple
Here your ape will be stake and gather the local token $TRB. This also has a nice screen with some stats to read if you like that sort of thing.
The Meadow
While your ape is Meditating you can get onto other tasks. For the next one you need a Spore (available low cost from Marketplaces)
Venture out into the Meadow and plant (stake) your spore, as a result of your spore being in the meadow, mushroom tokens will be produced.
Use these to mint mushrooms which are required for the next quest upon the journey.
The Mushroom Spirit Quest
To awaken your ape you need to send them on a spirit quest, the requirements to send your ape on this quest are
- You need to sacrifice a spore
- Consume 10 x mushrooms
- Turn in 300 x $TRB.
Your ape will go now go on the trip to spiritual enlightenment and become awakened and in turn receive an animated background and a 1.2x multiplier when staked in the Meditation Temple.
Awakened apes also unlock the awakened lore which leads to more quests on the Journey to Ascension.
The Laboratory
Now with your awakened ape staked safely back in the Meditation Temple the next step is experimenting in the Laboratory.
To do this you will need a lab kit (Sometimes available in spirit quest, or pick one up from Marketplace)
You will stake your Lab Kit in the Laboratory to experiment and create acid tokens, these tokens are used to mint acid.
The Enlightenment
To embark on this quest you must have an awakened ape consume the acid, turn in a lab kit and 500 $TRB.
Important to know acid comes in 3 strengths which are critical in the Enlightenment quest.
Diluted – 10% chance of success
Laced – 10 % chance of success
Pure – 100 Chance of Success
If it is successful your ape will now become enlightened. This unlocks the enlightenment lore as well as gives a 1.5x multiplier while meditating.
Further quest will be added in the future
This is not the only use for your $TRB Token, the fun doesn’t end here
ReShape
Pop into the store where anyone can buy and sell traits. (Traits may only be applied to ape that have completed enlightenment)

Pros
- The art is great and the animated upgrades are a nice touch
- Chorles’s Journal has a great story and a really fun way to engage and keep interest.
- Huge war chest as the mint was back when Solana was at a much higher price in 2022
Cons
- I failed to find a sustainable source of revenue, things may be in the works but until then the runway is getting shorter.
- Drug related themes are a niche market and do not appeal to the masses
Conclusion
Overall the project has a great community and the lore paired with the “Journey to Ascension” is a really fun interactive thing to be involved in.
Fantastic art with really fun animations, perfectly suited to the Trippin theme.
Although these are fun the project does need to find a sustainable revenue source as the current model seems to be coming from current holders reinvesting in mushrooms and lab kits to help their ape on it’s journey.
