About Primates
The goal of Primates is to create a brand that encourages adoption of the web3 space through community ventures and collaborations.
What does this mean? It means by creating a strong streetwear brand in the web2 space users will be more inclined to use web3 tech as it is a known and trusted brand.
Probably best known for their merch, Primates brings not only hoodies and T-Shirts but unique products like mouse pads, skate decks playing cards and more.
The goal with this venture is to introduce the project and the NFT space to people that like to collect and resell streetwear.
Creating buzz around the brand in the streetwear community will in turn boost brand awareness and exposure
Primates NFT come with full commercial rights, this means that holders are able to grow brands and identities behind their NFT’s.
Primates also has an active and competitive DAO’s trying to top the leaderboard.
Merch
- First and primary utility will always be the merch. The merch is made well and designs are fit the streetwear vision well. A lot of talk in the space in regards to the mouse mats.
Toxify
Toxification is NOT and art upgrade. Primates partnered up with Blocksmith Labs and by utilising SHIFT technology created Toxification.
Primates are sent to Toxification, every 5 days spent in Toxification unlocks 1 charge which can be used to toxify any trait on your Primate. Holders have the choice on which trait to toxify.
Toxifying the trait updates the metadata/image in real time. The trait names will stay the same and rarity will not change.
Quarantine
Made a mistake on toxification or just want to revert back. Quarantine is the polar opposite to toxify. Leave your Primate in Quarantine and every 5 days a toxified trait can be reverted back to the OG version.
COMING SOON
The Lab
Every week there will be collaborations with artists who will produce different variations of OG traits which will become available for holders to swap into. Every trait added will have a different staking time required to unlock it.
Venture
Behind the scenes Primates have been working on a business that will directly benefit Primate holders. This will be a Casino, latest updates states that Primates have recently signed agreement with biggest and most reputable game aggregator in the industry to give the site access to over 3,000 games.

Pros
- The merch shop has quality items that are useful
- With so many trait changes or possibilities each Primate can be unique and as you like it
- Strong ties to the Solana space and using Blocksmith Labs tech
Cons
- No whitepaper
- Information on the team is hard to come by.
- Very gated server all the action happens behind closed doors.
Conclusion
Primates seems like a very well run project with a strong community base. With ever changing art there is always something to keep holders busy.
It’s early days and at this stage I could not find a unique edge that this project has over others trying the same thing. With future utility in Lab and Venture stages of the roadmap still coming this will further their reach to see if the community can build the brand and extend into the irl space.
