You Can Now Store Bitcoin On Metamask

Metamask recently announced the release of the new Snaps feature which extends the functionality of Metamask.

Users now have the ability to store BTC on Metamask with the Zion extension.

Prior to this, users had to store a wrapped version of Bitcoin (WBTC) but since the release of Zion you can now store native Bitcoin (BTC) on Metamask.

Keep in mind this knew Bitcoin wallet can be restored with the same recovery phrase as your Metamask wallet so ensure there are no security breaches to your wallet prior to installation.

Remember that Zion deals with native BTC and not WBTC so do not send anything other than BTC on the Bitcoin Network to this wallet.
