Solana's DeFi aggregator Jupiter announces a major token airdrop, set to release 1 billion JUP tokens to nearly a million wallets on January 31. The allocation is based on users' activity on Jupiter, with a minimum of 200 JUP guaranteed. Beyond this, Jupiter is prepping to introduce a meme coin as a precursor to the airdrop, utilizing the launch as a test for its new platform. This initiative is part of Jupiter's broader plan to distribute half of its 10 billion JUP supply to the community, with additional airdrops and community rewards planned. The remaining JUP tokens will be allocated to the Jupiter team, strategic reserves, and liquidity provisions.
