The smart wallet, an extension of the Coinbase Wallet SDK, leverages account abstraction to remove the need for seed phrases, offering a more straightforward approach with recovery options. This wallet is part of Coinbase’s ambition to make smart wallets the norm in 2024. Meanwhile, the embedded wallets, powered by "wallet as a service" (WaaS), aim to simplify user interactions by using familiar login methods, thus facilitating easier access to blockchain technologies and on-chain applications.
