About Kups by Raposa

At first you may think “Great, another coffee project going nowhere” but Kups from Rapoza is not your usual project.
The team consists of a combination of people from the web3 space, irl coffee roasting as well as the food and beverage and industry. Each person brings years of experience and focus’s on what they do best for the perfect dynamic.
Kups by Rapoza is creating a brand that will bridge web2 and web3. The project is designed to give more exposure to artists in the space while building a global coffee brand.

The team has deep roots in the web3 community and has noticed projects come and go. Why? Lack of purpose and lack of sustainability are the biggest issues. Most projects are reliant on the same eco system that minted. Plans for Kups by Rapoza are to not be reliant on revenue form the web3 space but to externally grow the Rapoza coffee brand from the core of web3 and extend out to web2.

The project aims to bring Coffee and art together. Artists are selective on who they will work with in this space as they too have a brand to uphold. The project has been very selective on who they let through into the “cafe” space. Many behind the gates are artists interacting and finding a common space to share their love of art creation.

 

 

Utility

At this stage we have been given limited information, things we do know are

  • The project will not be related to any of the existing Coffee shops
  • A 10year lease on a 2 story building outfitted with coffee roasting equipment in the Czech Republic has been secured
  • Founders and advisors have strong connections in NYC and Thailand to assist with logistics, distribution and marketing.
  • The project already has an ungated sellers account for Amazon Prime and Amazon Fulfilment (This is a huge benefit)

The most recent development and possibly the most exciting has been the addition of canned coffee. We have been told that they have leading edge technology to extract cold brew coffee. Traditional methods take 6-12 hrs but with this tech a better outcome can be achieved in just 1-2hrs. Products will be available pre mint, and it has been hinted that some might get to taste the 6 flavours of nitro cold brew at NFT NYC.

To make holders even safer Kups By Raposa has used their ties to implement Phase Protocol into their plan. This is a milestone based system where. mint funds are locked in escrow. The project must hit agreed upon milestones before funds are released. This ensures projects cannot run away with funds and leave holders out of pocket.

For NFT Holders the most exciting addition post mint has been the staking platform going live.
Now we do not know what we can do with our staking rewards “Beans” yet. The team have left us to speculate on this but best get your Kups staked here

My Thoughts

It’s hard to imagine a team with this much experience under the same umbrella. Each has their own specialty and will compliment each other well.

Art having over 14 years coffee experience teamed up with Sok and Omega and the experience they bring from Helium Studios to market the product and build the brand.
If that was not enough the project has some of the biggest names in Solana as advisors. Jet (Nekozuma), Chivas (marketing company BCM) and Snooze (Alpha Pharaohs)

This isn’t a lets try it and see if it sticks plan. The team is structured and have measurable plans in place to scale Rapoza to become a global brand. As far as the coffee side goes these guys have done their homework, know their customer and have established connections pre mint to ensure success. This includes contacts with venues, spaces, restaurants and hotels.

Even in these early days their attention to detail shows. An example of this is the Twitter account, @RaposaCoffeeCo is aimed at the web2 market so the handle is not NFT related. One thing I thought was genius was the 30 1/1’s from the collection being auctioned pre mint on Exchange Art. This gathers some pre mint funding and at the same time gets interest from the art community.

Now its not all perfect. They will still have some hurdles to overcome. The art has had minimal reveals and expectations are no more reveals until mint.

This is actually a clever strategy should it go as planned. Most projects have sub-par art and don’t reveal until after mint, holders are basically stuck with it or dump and move on.

Kups by Rapoza have mentioned many times that their art is amazing, they are hoping that on reveal holders see this banger art and get into a hype frenzy.

I guess we wait and see and be the judge of which way this plays out.
